Bluewater Sales continued to make waves at the Keeneland September Sale on Tuesday, when Hip 2688 sold for $170,000 to become the second highest price of the session.
Purchased by Ben McElroy serving as agent, the filly by Majestic Warrior, is the first foal out of the Buddah mare Smoke Rise, who is half to graded stakes winner on the turf Joes Blazing Aaron. On her dam's side, the filly is from the family of European Champion Alleged, making her quite popular with our European clientele.
The Keeneland September Yearling Sale runs through September 26.
