Bluewater Farm is home to a number of retired and rescued race horses who have more than paid their dues at the race track and now enjoy the quiet life on the farm.

From Grade 1 winners and Multiple Stakes Placed horses to million dollar producing mares and Steeplechase stalwarts, life in the the Bluegrass consists of some being quietly ridden and others acting as excellent nannies for when it comes to weaning time!

TRUMPETS BLARE - now a grand age of 22 this mare by Vice Regent out of Passing look by Buckpasser amassed lifetime earnings of $532,810. A Grade 1 winner for her owner Mr Robert Levy, taking the Arlington-Washington Lassie S., she was also a multiple stakes winner, including the Little Silver S., Atlantic City Oaks, Poinciana H. and the Fairway Fun S. Not only proficent on the race track, this mare's progeny earned great success in the sales ring over the years also. Leading the way was her 1999 colt by A. P. Indy who brought a final bid of $1.3 million at Fasig Tipton Saratoga Select Sale.

KING KNOCKER - a 10 year old gelding by Holy Bull out of Silky Feather by Personal Flag, King Knocker is a stakes winner at Churchill Downs, stakes placed also and a winner of 4 other starts, including one in allowance company. One of those races being the Ghost and Goblins, an exclusive race for  His lifetime earnings are over $99,000. After retiring from the race track, King Knocker had a short stint in the dressage arena. He showed promise but never competed as he suffered a broken pelvis and was then fully retired.

BAYOU BUSTER -  bred by Mr Robert Levy and Alice Cohn Bayou Buster finished in the money in 12 of his 27 starts when trained by Alice Cohn. This 10 year old by Housebuster out of Zydeco Queen by Full Pocket also holds the track record at Churchill Downs, clocked in his impressive win of Texas Glitter H. Lifetime earnings of $148,438. He was retired to Bluewater Farm where it has since been discovered that he has a taste for bananas!

JACK ATAX - Purchased on behalf of Circle C Racing by Bluewater Sales, Agent, at the FT Timonium 2 year olds in training sale for $275,000. A son of More Than Ready out of Miss O'Keefe by Strike the Gold impressed when breaking his maiden in only his 2nd start. A later allowance winner, notching up a total of 4 wins, 1 2nd and 3 3rds in his career, he has to be commended for running well after suffering a broken knee twice during his training career and recovering. One that Meg always had a fondness for, he came to the farm at Christmas time when her husband, Mike claimed him back for her. 

PEACE DANCER - made his successful career over the timber and earned himself many a  photo in the steeplechase winners cirlce. Now taking on the position of 'babysitter-extraordinaire', no weanling dares to fool with him!

WINGS OF WAR - one of the few remaining Alysheba's. 'Wings' has proven o be a versatile individual away form the race track, trying his hand at 1 day eventing and also ponying yearlings for a couple of seasons.

LAST BET - Owned by Mr Levy and given to Meg, who along with her staff taught him how to jump. Twice a starter in the Farm Managers Race at the Kentucky Horse Park, each with different jockey aboard. Furthermore, he sharpened his skills of ponying, babysitting weanlings, assisting in the breaking process of horses and is the ultimate all-rounder! Now known as 'Luke' to most he has been donated to Chris McCarron's North American Horse Racing Academy and is a firm favourite amongst his students teaching them how to gallop on the track.
