Majestic River Romps in Graded Stakes Debut
Monday, July 28, 2014

Bluewater Sales Saratoga Select graduate Majestic River extended her winning streak to three in a row on Sunday when she powered home a winner in the $200,000 Molly Pitcher S.-G2 at Monmouth Park.

Bred by Robert and Stacy Mitchell's Briland Farm, the A. P. Indy-sired filly sold for $425,000 as a yearling to George Bolton in 2011 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling Sale and was sent to Stonestreet Farm's training center to be started under saddle. She is out of multiple stakes winner Tempus Fuget, by Alphabet Soup.

Majestic River didn't make her first start until January of her three-year-old year, but it was worth the wait, as she strode home an easy winner at Gulfstream in her career debut.

Owned by Bolton in partnership with Barry Lipman and Natrona Racing, the filly, who won the $77,500Lighthouse Stakes at Monmouth last time out, now boasts earnings of $133,138 and a record of 8-5-1-0.
